Soft drinks have been popular all over the world for a long time, and worldwide soft drinks consumption is at an all-time high.


The word “soft drink” usually refers to a flavoured, carbonated, non-alcoholic beverage, such as those that use caloric (such as sugar or high-fructose corn syrup) and non-caloric sweeteners alike. It seems that some people are drinking more soda than water each day, or no water at all.
Some example of soft drinks are... Pepsi, Cocacola, Sprite etc...

Being a Health conscious generation its side effects should also be known to you.

The simple tap water used in soda is also found to contain chemicals like chlorinefluoride and heavy metals and mercury. 

Other than caffeineartificial sweeteners are also used in diet sodas, such as aspartame, as a substitute for sugar, which makes it more harmful. 

It has been linked to almost a hundred different health problems including seizures, brain tumors, diabetes, and emotional disorders. Diet sodas also increase the risk of metabolic syndrome, which causes belly fat, high blood sugar and raised cholesterol.

In most carbonated beverages, caffeine is added to make it more addictive. Caffeine in carbonated drinks is more readily absorbed than in any other drink (like coffee, chocolate etc.).
