For the intrepid traveler, a solid barometer of the cost of a city can be distilled into one factor: the price of a beer (or, for the oenophiles, a glass of wine). The Economist Intelligence Unit goes much deeper than that, though, with its annual Worldwide Cost of Living Index, which compares more than 400 individual prices across 150 products and services—everything from car rentals to fuel prices.

Using that as a starting point, we’ve compiled a list of the most expensive cities in the world worth visiting. This isn’t to say you’ll have to take out a second mortgage to visit—but it does assure that, once there, the temptation to indulge will be everywhere.

While Gazing at an aeroplane passing thousands of feet overhead, You must have noticed that the vast majority of aeroplanes are white.

Have you ever wondered why is it so?

some of the reasons are listed below

The most important reason is

It Keeps aeroplanes cool

A white object reflects all wavelengths of light, so the light is not converted into heat, while a colored object absorbs more wavelengths of light and converts them into heat, so the object gets warm. 

Hence Most of the light is reflected by white colour and less is absorbed which keeps the engine and whole body of aeroplane cool.

White paint is cost-effective 

Painting a plain is not like painting a fence it requires a considerable amount of revenue which keeps a great burden on aviation companies.
Cost can run anywhere from $50K to $200K per plane. The 2-3 weeks of time required for such paint jobs will cause loss of revenue for that period. 

More paint= More weight= More fuel = More operating costs

The paint on a fully painted 747 will weigh more than 250 kgs, while a polished skin will just weigh 25 kgs. EasyJet Airlines was able to reduce 2% of their operating costs by just repainting their planes with new thinner aerodynamic paints. When your annual fuel bill is $1.2 billion USD, then that 2% can mean a savings of $22.4 million USD. Suddenly a coating becomes interesting, doesn't it?
